Tool CertificationCertifications are interactive review modules that help you assess your ability to reliably use AEPS. Please click on the individual certifications to learn more.

Completing AEPS IRR certifications provides the assurance that you will be getting the most out of AEPS for the child with whom you are working. Certification helps ensure that you and your colleagues are using AEPS consistently and accurately.

For each IRR module, you will receive a certificate upon completion confirming you have successfully completed the module according to the specific criteria for AEPS.

Description: When teachers and other early childhood personnel use tools reliably with young children, they ensure effective delivery of assessment, instruction, intervention, and ongoing progress monitoring for those children. This AEPS®-3 Interrater Reliability Certification assesses users’ reliability in scoring the Assessment, Evaluation, and Programming System for Infants and Children, Third Edition (AEPS-3) Test. Knowing you are reliably scoring an assessment—scoring it like others are scoring it—means you and your colleagues can be confident you are getting consistent information under different circumstances, on different days with different children. When you are confident of results, you can be confident in the decisions you are making for children. Upon successful completion of this certification, you will be certified as reliable in the scoring of AEPS-3 for 3 years.
